English - head training noun Subject: Training, Viticulture a form of vine training whereby the trunk has a definite head or knob, consisting of old wood rather than the arms of a cordon, so that a group of canes arises in one zone, called the head. Such vines are normally cane pruned, but may also be spur pruned.
